Dr. Jonathan Bohlmann is a leading expert in marketing innovation, with extensive research in new product development, strategic decision-making, and innovation adoption. His work explores how firms navigate first-mover advantages, customer adoption processes, and the intersection of marketing and technology. His research has been published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, and Journal of Product Innovation Management.

Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Bohlmann worked as a senior engineer at General Dynamics Corporation, where he led R&D projects focused on advanced aircraft structures. His background in aerospace engineering and business strategy informs his unique approach to marketing innovation, bridging technical development with consumer-driven insights.
Teaching and Student Engagement

His MBA 555 Product Design and Development course, also known as the Product Innovation Lab, is a Forbes-recognized top-10 most innovative business course. In addition, Dr. Bohlmann leads an international innovation and marketing systems course, which includes an immersive study-abroad trip to Munich, Germany. Through company visits and executive discussions with firms like BMW, Siemens, and Intel, students gain a global perspective on business strategy and innovation.
